How You Can Help?

A large number of people have been involved in the project over the last four years. In addition to the work of the Management Committee itself, many, many man-hours have been put in by the fund raising team, the project team, the Parish Council and various ad-hoc working parties (both physical and administrative!) to get the project to its current position. There is still much to do and help will be very much appreciated. The following are ways in which you could help:

Help with on-going fund raising
Fund-raising will still be vital until the new premises are fully operational and bringing in income. Help could take many forms; joining the fund-raising team, helping to run individual events, or simply coming up with fundraising ideas.

Join The Hall Management Team
There are 6 members of the village elected at the annual general meeting (May 11th Methodist Schoolroom) and there are likely to be vacancies.

Donate to the Project
If you haven’t already done so, or want to make additional donations on a one-off or regular basis then there are a number of ways of donating which can reduce your tax as well as giving additional tax refunds to the hall.(Note: there have been some 160 individual donors to date)

Help with the marketing and future use of the Hall
The new premises will enable a much wider range of activities and societies for the village but they will all need the support and backing of individuals to promote and organise them. The management committee envisages appointing someone (on an honorarium) to pro-actively ‘market’ the hall and support and encourage its use. Several new organisations have already expressed an interest. If you think you can help in this way or have a concept for new clubs or organisations please-

Join ‘Friends of Hutton Rudby Village Hall’
There are a number of people with a great affection for the hall and the heritage it has given the village. Many of them already work on the hall in various ways and it is proposed to create an organisation for such supporters of the hall who are willing to ‘do their bit’ but not necessarily be a member of the management Committee or one of the Societies. This is still an embryonic idea which will be looking for someone to co-ordinate it. It is envisaged that the ‘friends’ may be able to undertake some of the final decorating or fitting-out of the refurbished premises but there will be many other possibilities, not all physical.
